Common Questions
Expert answers for Singapore parents.
Is a private ADHD diagnosis accepted by MOE schools?
Yes. Our psychologists are registered with the Singapore Register of Psychologists (SRP). Our diagnostic reports utilize DSM-5 criteria and are recognized by the Ministry of Education (MOE) for applications regarding Mother Tongue Exemption and Access Arrangements (extra time).
Can a psychologist prescribe ADHD medication in Singapore?
No, psychologists do not prescribe medication. However, our Formal Diagnostic Report is the medical document required by psychiatrists or pediatricians to initiate a medication plan. We can refer you directly to our partner medical doctors for this step.
What is the difference between a screener and a full diagnosis?
A "Screener" typically indicates risk levels (e.g., "Likely ADHD") but is not sufficient for official purposes. A Full Diagnosis (which we provide) confirms the condition using clinical interviews and standardized testing. International Schools and Exam Boards require the Full Diagnosis for accommodations.
Do I need a referral from a polyclinic?
No. As a private clinic, you can book directly with us without a referral. This allows you to skip the 6-12 month wait times often experienced in the public system.
