Therapy FAQ
Common questions from Singapore parents.
Do you help with school refusal and exam anxiety?
Yes. School refusal and exam stress (PSLE/O-Levels/IB) are among the most common issues we treat. We use a combination of CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) and family systems work to help the child return to school confidently and manage performance pressure.
Do I sit in on my child's therapy session?
For young children (under 6) or specific attachment work, parents are often involved in the room. For adolescents, we prioritize their privacy to build trust, but we always schedule separate feedback sessions with parents to keep you informed and equipped.
How long does therapy take?
Psychotherapy is not a quick fix. While some specific issues (like simple phobias) may resolve in 8-12 sessions, deep-seated anxiety, neurodivergent burnout, or behavioral challenges often require ongoing support over 6 months or more to create lasting neural change.
Do you offer online therapy?
Yes. While Play Therapy is best done in-person at our Novena clinic, Adolescent Counseling and Parenting Support sessions are highly effective via secure video calls, offering flexibility for busy families.
