Two Distinct Pathways

While many families benefit from a blend of both, we distinguish between Scaffolding (Skills) and Support (Connection) to tailor our approach to your needs.

🧩 ADHD & Scaffolding

For parents of neurodivergent children. This track focuses on psychoeducation and "external frontal lobe" strategies. We help you understand your child's capabilities so you can set reasonable expectations and reduce conflict.

  • Psychoeducation: Understanding the "why" behind behaviors.
  • Scaffolding Tools: Building systems to support skill deficits.
  • Behavioral Tools: Creating consistent, non-emotional boundaries.
  • Conflict Reduction: Improving home atmosphere to protect child's self-esteem.
❤️ General Parenting

For parents seeking emotional regulation and alignment. This track provides a space to tackle the "hardest job." We focus on increasing your capacity to regulate yourself so you can better co-regulate your child.

  • Parental Regulation: Managing your own stress and capacity.
  • Triggers & Values: Insight into what triggers you and why.
  • Attachment Work: Addressing history that impedes connection.
  • Parent Alignment: Getting both parents on the same page.

Core Components

Regardless of the track, our clinicians use evidence-based frameworks to strengthen the parent-child relationship.

Realistic Expectations

Through psychoeducation, we help you reflect on what your child is actually capable of developmentally, reducing frustration for everyone.

Co-Regulation

An emotionally dysregulated child cannot calm down alone. We train you to lend your calm nervous system to your child during difficult moments.

Insight & Reflection

We explore your own triggers and values. Increasing your insight allows you to respond to your child with intention rather than reaction.

Environment Design

For skill deficits, we don't just "teach"; we design the home environment (antecedent control) to make success easier and failure less likely.

Common Questions

Is this therapy or coaching?

It is a blend of both. We use therapeutic insights to understand attachment and triggers, but the sessions are often coaching-focused: providing concrete tools, scripts, and strategies to manage daily family life.

Does my child attend the sessions?

Generally, no. These sessions are primarily for parents. The goal is to equip you to be the agent of change in your home. However, clinicians may request observation sessions with the child if needed.

Do both parents need to attend?

Ideally, yes. One of the main goals of general parent coaching is "Parental Alignment"—ensuring both parents are using the same language and strategies to avoid confusion for the child.

Is this only for parents of children with ADHD?

No. We have a specific track for ADHD scaffolding, but our General Parenting Support track is for any parent navigating behavioral challenges, emotional dysregulation, or simply wanting to improve their relationship with their child.
