Dr. Clare Ong
Counseling & School Psychologist | PhD
Dr. Clare Ong is a pioneer in Singapore’s educational psychology landscape with over 34 years of clinical experience. She began her career as a Science teacher before establishing herself as a leading psychologist in both the public and private sectors.
Her distinguished career includes serving as a Senior Educational Psychologist at the Ministry of Education (MOE), where she shaped policies and interventions for students with special needs. She was also the first Singaporean to be certified in Choice Theory & Reality Therapy (CTRT) in the US.
Dr. Clare specializes in complex psycho-educational assessments and navigating the intersection of school placement and mental health. She has trained generations of counselors and psychologists as an adjunct lecturer at the National Institute of Education (NIE) and James Cook University.
